Brit format The Cube is coming to the U.S., though nobody knows exactly when or where it will land.

Deadline reports that Warner has ordered ten eps of the show with former basketball player Dwayne Wade as host. It's uncertain which network or digital platform Warner will use for the stunt show. The Cube is similar to Minute To Win It, which enjoyed decent runs on NBC and then (in a cheaper reboot) on GSN.

The similarity between the shows led to a lively discussion about which show was ripping off the other. Frankly, I think they both rip off Beat the Clock, so I don't much care either way. Not that I think there's anything terrible in game shows copying each other, if they can do it in a creative and entertaining way.

We'll see what Warner can do with The Cube. The linked story says that Dwayne Wade might get involved in the stunts as sort of a helping hand, which sounds like an interesting gimmick. The show is due to arrive in 2021, though no firm date has been set. Get your stunt skills ready if you want to compete.
