Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce that they have signed 17-year-old forward Garrett Wright to a Standard WHL Player Agreement.

Wright (6’1, 178), a product of Mesa, Arizona, was listed by the Pats during the 2017-18 season.

“Garrett is a good young player,” said Pats Head Coach and GM John Paddock. “We are really excited he has chosen the Pats and the WHL to continue his development as a hockey player.”

He played 32 games with the Anaheim Junior Ducks 16U this season, scoring 17 goals and adding 12 assists for 29 points to go along with 40 penalty minutes.

Garrett’s father Jason played in the USHL and then the NCAA with Michigan Tech. He went on to play five seasons as a professional in the ECHL, CHL and the BISL.

The Pats continue preparations for the historic 100th Mastercard Memorial Cup. Two ticket packages are available at mastercardmemorialcup.ca.
