PATCHAT: The Regina Pats look for an 8th consecutive victory Saturday night when they host the Edmonton Oil Kings in a game that will shown across Western Canada on Access/Shaw ... The Pats ran their win streak to 7 with a 5-2 victory at Saskatoon Friday night.  Winger Austin Wagner paced the Pats with pair of goals while Tyler Brown made 18 saves to collect the win ... Regina sits #1 overall in the WHL with 79 points and holds a 6-point edge on Medicine Hat ... Regina is 18-3-4 at home and 9-10 in their Past 10 ... The Pats are #1 in the league in Goals For (259) and #1 in the conference in Goals Against (154) ... Regina is 2-0 against Edmonton this season and the pair will conclude the season series next Friday at Rogers Place.

PATS LEAGUE LEADERS: Regina forward Sam Steel's 91 points lead the WHL while teammate Adam Brooks is #2 with 88 points ... Brooks leads the Dub in assists with 59 while Steel is #2 with 55 ... Austin Wagner's five shorthanded goals rank him #2 ... Filip Ahl's six game-winning goals rank him 4th ... Sergey Zborovskiy is a WHL-best +57 in plus/minus.

OIL DROPS: The 2014 Memorial Cup champions have fallen on hard times.  The Oil Kings carry a 13-game losing streak into Regina including a 6-3 loss at Brandon on Friday evening ... Edmonton is 10th in the East Conference, 7-points back of 8th place Calgary ... The Oil Kings are 9-13-2 on the road and 0-10-0 in their Past 10.

ISN'T THAT SPECIAL: The Pats own the WHL's #1 powerplay at 32.3% while their penalty kill is #9 at 80.2% ... The Oil Kings PP is 17th at 18.1% and their PK is 13th at 77.9%.

IN THE CREASE:  Tyler Brown's logged the most minutes (2045) in the Pats goal and has a record of 23-4-6 with a 2.82 GAA and a .907 save percentage.  However I wouldn't be surprised to see Jordan Hollett get the start ... Patrick Dea leads the Oil Kings in MP (2395) and sports a record of 16-23-2 with a 3.71 GAA and .884 save percentage.
